Kibble Diets
Fresh meat is the first ingredient in each formula of Nature's Variety Dry Kibble for dogs. In fact, meat and organs make up nearly 40% of the ingredients. Most dry kibble diets are 25 to 30% meat or meat and bone products, with some formulations even containing less than 10%.
Nature’s Variety uses only high quality meal from single-source animal proteins (e.g. chicken meal, beef meal, etc.), never “byproduct meal” or generic “meat meal.” The meals used in Nature’s Variety diets are antibiotic-free and hormone-free. Meat "meal" is essentially whole meat which has been ground and dried.
After processing, the kibble is enrobed with ingredients such as probiotics, prebiotics, and enzymes that are present in raw foods, but destroyed through the heat of the processing. The enzymes aid in better digestion, the probiotics play a big part to insure a healthy immune system, and the prebiotics help in growth and population of probiotics in the digestive tract. Nature's Variety kibble provides a source of over 50 trace minerals. A colloidal silicate called montmorillonite supplies important trace minerals. Many pet owners insist that the supplementation of these colloidal silicate minerals have helped produce better coats, weight gain, increase in milk production, better conception, and overall better health. Nature's Variety Prairie Brand Dry Kibble Diets are designed to be rotated freely for variety and optimal nutrition. Emphasis is put on fresh meat as the first and prominent ingredient of each diet. The grains present in these diets are only whole grains; never inferior grain fractions. All Nature's Variety products are naturally preserved with vitamins and herbal extracts, and sealed in oxygen limiting packaging. What’s in the Bag? More Meat Protein - Nature’s Variety diets are formulated with nutrient dense, highly digestible single-source animal protein meals (for example: Chicken Meal, Lamb Meal, etc.). These proteins are sourced from USDA inspected facilities. Our antibiotic-free and hormone-free meals provide a highly concentrated protein source for increased meat content. Meat protein provides essential amino acids to help nourish your pet’s muscles and build strong bones.
Whole Grains - Nutritionally intact whole grains (such as oatmeal, brown rice, barley, and millet) are GMO-free and provide complete and wholesome sources of carbohydrates for your pet’s stamina and energy. (Prairie Diets contain no corn, no wheat, and no soy. Raw Instinct is entirely grain-free.)
Fruits and Vegetables - Wholesome fruits and vegetables (such as carrots, peas, apples, and grapefruit seed extract) are natural sources of antioxidants and important vitamins to help support a healthy immune system.
Montmorillonite Clay - This unique ingredient provides an additional source of trace minerals and has been shown to bind and remove toxins. Trace minerals are important to your pet for proper growth, cell repair, and digestive health.
Alfalfa Meal - Nutritious alfalfa meal contains essential vitamins and minerals (such as Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Iron, Magnesium, and Manganese) with antioxidant effects to stimulate the immune system.

FEEDING GUIDE AND INSTRUCTIONS
Sudden changes in diet can sometimes result in digestive disturbances. Do not overfeed regardless of the pet’s acceptance and eagerness. Overfeeding is the most common cause of digestive upset. Always introduce any new diet over a period of days mixing with the present diet. Keep fresh water available at all times and offer plenty of exercise.
