"I do not recommend drug treatment prevention. It makes no sense to me to poison the animal's blood with a chemical in order to kill the microfilaria of the heartworm when injected by the carrier mosquito. That animal's poisoned bloodstream is carried to the brain, and every organ in the body. What do you think is happening to those organs over time? I have seen sick dogs that could not get well until I cleansed them of their heartworm medication."
